Dear Flavia and Nicholas,
Dear future residents of this beautiful roman villa,
We came here three weeks ago as real “olandesi”, we live now, feeling real “italiani”
We are: Danilo Deriu ( capo dei capi”) Italian, “sardo”, his wife Lydia, their daughter Patrizia, the grandsons Francesco, Hugo, and Arturo and myself the father of theses naughty but  nice kids, Jarven.
Umbria you must get to know it to love it, not like Tuscany, which is also a nice paart of Italy , but more touristic than Umbria………
……..But  next visits to this beautiful ancient medieval town we liked it more and more.of course we did more trips to the campagna around , we went to Collazzone, Deruta, Monte Castello di Vibio, lago trasimeno and Orvieto and liked all of them so much, but with three kids (( 5,8,10 years old) and a swimming pool and very hot temperatures, it’s obvious we spent a lot of time here in the villa. I must say that we’ve spent a lot of holidays in different houses, but none of them felt as being at home like this one. Flavia has succeded in bringing together the flavours of Umbria, with the culture of  an English country home: the kitchen , in our opinion,  is the beating heart of this “menagerie” Her son Nicholas ( listened to the cd of his band “Lilith” with much pleasure)  cares for the swimming pool and helps out ………
……..now we’ve reached the evening before leaving, tomorrow we’ll  leave at 5 a.m Umbria, we’ll meet again! With love and kind regards Jarven Kostermann               Todi 27th July 2007

Thank you for a wonderful week. It has been so easy and, with three children that is never something we say! Your house has been our home for a week. A wonderfully relaxed  ‘air’ about the place. The boys (11and9) have so enjoyed swimming  and our doughter (2) has enjoyed being a “Bambina”. The high point for all 4 adults has been Fabiola. Her cooking is quite superb. She is relaxed and wonderful with the children.

We really enjoyed our stay in “villa Rose Antiche” a very good place to rest and discover Umbria. Now we know Umbria is much nicer than Tuscany but will keep it as a seacret and won't   tell any body….We hope we’ll be back in Umbria and have a chance to spend some time in Villa Rose Antiche again

thanks for your hospitality and for having us consider your house to be ours for the last three weeks. Deespite the high temperature during few days, we enjouyed our stay very much. Partially due to your beautiful swimmingpool.
Riverafting, all the historical buildings, the beautiful countryside makes a place to come back to.
We also want to thank fabiola for cooking us a delicious dinner.
Almost every day we played on your bautiful old piano, treat it well, it can really sing.
